A few days ago, I shared the exciting news that The Happiness Experiment became a #1
bestseller. Today, I’d like to share why I’m so passionate about promoting this book and why I
plan to sell millions of copies.
I have two main reasons:
First, the concept of pre-quests, giving while living, is a meaningful innovation. The term pre-
quest doesn’t appear in dictionaries or even on Google. Yet, it captures a powerful, happiness-
enhancing idea: intentionally giving to those you care about during your lifetime, not just
afterward. Pre-quests are about spreading joy, deepening relationships, and increasing happiness
for both giver and receiver.
Second, everyone should have a Happiness Plan, yet I’ve never met anyone who actually does.
It’s not easy to plan intentionally for happiness. That’s why this book includes a straightforward
process, real examples, and a practical Happiness Planning Workbook to help readers build a
meaningful, personalized plan for lasting joy.
These are the ideas I’m committed to sharing because I believe they can make a difference.
Thank you for supporting these goals by purchasing, sharing, and reviewing the book.
If you haven’t read it yet, perhaps you’re persuaded now. And if you’ve read it, but haven’t left
a review, even a brief one can make an impact.
With appreciation,
Carl Barney

Carl,
Congratulations on your book!! Good stuff.
I have a quick question for you: I am planning a revision and one (or two) sequels to my book, “The Art of Joyful Living: A Practical Guide to Happiness,” and I wondered if you had a recommendation with regard to an agent.
Best regards (and best premises),
Jonathan Rosman
