The Colorado Court of Appeals threw out Judge Ross Buchanan’s opinion against CollegeAmerica and, in an unprecedented action, removed him from the case. See the press release here. There is a political campaign (which began with the Obama administration) to cripple and close private for-profit career colleges and universities. With coordinated attacks originating from Senators…
Category: Center for Excellence in Higher Education
The Center for Excellence in Higher Education (CEHE) was established in 2006 by a small group of philanthropists who have donated millions of dollars to U.S. colleges and universities and were concerned about the growing challenges facing higher education in America. Its original purpose was to educate the public about the state of higher education in America and help donors promote excellence in higher education through philanthropy.
From 2007 to 2012, CEHE a 501(c)(3) organization operated as a public charity. It conducted a series of research programs and supported faculty interested in improving higher education at universities around the country and internationally. CEHE also engaged in several important research projects, acting in the background to help philanthropists who wanted to promote structural reform of higher education more generally.
In 2012, I merged my colleges, CollegeAmerica, Stevens-Henager College, and California College San Diego, into a 501(c)(3) education organization, CEHE.
CEHE continues to work to make improvements in delivery methods and content in higher education, but rather than focusing that work simply on advocating for change, CEHE, through its colleges, is actively involved in providing educational opportunities to the thousands of students it now serves.
For more information about CEHE, visit its website here.

Libby DeBlasio Webster, a political activist acting as an Assistant Attorney General in…
Capitalism and Its Demise
Capitalism is under a massive attack today from Sanders, Warren, Ocasio-Cortez, Harris, and our new President, Joe Biden, who writes: It’s way past time we put an end to the idea of shareholder capitalism—the idea that the only responsibility a corporation has is with its shareholders. That’s simply not true. That’s an absolute farce. They…
Assault on CollegeAmerica and Change of Judge
Did Libby DeBlasio Webster and her political cronies get Judge Mullins taken off the case so that they could pursue further prosecution and harassment of CollegeAmerica? See this decision by Mullins in favor of CollegeAmerica, and ask yourself whether the AG would have had a prayer of persisting with Judge Mullins in place, particularly since…
The Assault on Private Career Colleges
For some attorneys general, when it comes to targeting and prosecuting politically unpopular businesses (oil companies, healthcare providers, drug companies, etc.), anything goes. And justice is not their goal. Their goal is to cripple, bleed, bankrupt businesses they don’t like. Their playbook is simple: Make stuff up, fake documents, fake witnesses, whatever will work; conduct…
