I’m reluctant to use the word “amazing,” as it is so overused. But the word truly describes the movie Wild Tales. Or perhaps “wild” is the better description? Regardless, it is remarkable. Directed by Damian Szifron, the anthology film blends suspense, dark humor, and themes of revenge and societal breakdown. It consists of six standalone stories exploring human nature’s roar and often vengeful instincts.
The sixth segment, “Til Death Do Us Part,” takes place at a wedding reception where the bride discovers her new husband’s infidelity. I will resist a spoiler and tell you only that it has a remarkable, passionate completion.
The film won Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, along with multiple awards at other festivals. If you’re a fan of stories that push boundaries, with dark humor, Wild Tales is definitely worth watching. You will see ordinary people reacting under frustrating circumstances with unexpected and dramatic outcomes. Enjoy.
(My recent posts have been about serious and perhaps darker subjects, so I hope that this one is a relief to some of you.)

It’s one of my favourite movies. Absolute genius. I purchase it in 2019. I have been watching some segment from time to time. Absolute masterpiece in this genra. Much like the Cohen brothers movies. Unexpected things kept happening.
