Peter Attia, MD, is an extreme athlete, mathematician, and engineer, as well as a surgeon trained through Harvard, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins. He specialized in oncology and—oh yes—has also studied management. He is a capable logician who functionally understands induction (his discussions on the topic are brilliant!) and other aspects of logic and epistemology. I don’t think any other physician has his combination of qualifications.
Having such extraordinary, broad knowledge and skills, one would expect him to write an extraordinary book. And he has: Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity. I’m not going to attempt a review, so I’ll instead refer you to this excellent summary of Dr. Attia and his book.
The book is a must read for anyone who wants to live long and well. It advocates that Medicine 2.0 be transformed into Healthcare 3.0 and, in so doing, it could and hopefully will create a revolution in healthcare.
Buy the book. Read it. Most of it is an easy read, however, you may have to battle through the biology and chemistry (or simply skip that if it’s too technical for you).

Don has almost finished the book and thinks it is flat out terrific.
