I had partied too much the night before, and I woke up feeling sluggish and a little hungover. As I opened my eyes, I said “Ugh! Reality… where the hell did that come from?”
My romantic partner looked at me and said, “Ayn Rand invented it!”

Thanks Carl for reminding me of the great benefit we receive from a philosophically like minded partner.My wife of 57 years ,who introduced me to Atlas Shrugged back in the 1970’s passed away 5 years ago & left a huge whole in my existence.However my small business daughter,who shares my objectivist philosophy has stepped in ,become my spiritual partner & rekindled my sense of life.This I think is a good example of how a truly benevolent philosophy for human flourishing can pass thru’ the generations for the ultimate benefit of humanity.

Carl, glad to hear you are enjoying life with a partner who shares your beliefs. I am continuing to work as I have worked these many years, doing compliance reviews to help schools stay out of trouble and defending them when that is necessary.
I have a partner, too, who shares my philosophy, and the wonderfulness of two like spirits coming together cannot be overstated. Good for you!
