“Deep-rooted vendetta against
for-profit schools” – possibly one way to fight this is to tie a defense of career colleges to a cause that the liberal consensus seems to be moving toward a belief in: There have been a spate of articles recently in major media about questioning the value of getting a college degree, declines in enrollments, the idea that some people don’t need all the academics for vocational pursuits.
So if one were to read those articles and specifically quote some of the articles, one might gain more sympathy among intellectuals and media: Strike while the iron is hot and this is a big topic of conversation before the media attention span shifts.
