I’m delighted to announce that, after an exhaustive search for an executive director, Prometheus Foundation’s board of directors has selected Craig Biddle for the position.
Ironically, Craig had neither applied for the position nor even considered it. Rather, he was on the search committee to find a director. But after the committee reviewed 15 applications, interviewed several candidates, and submitted its recommendations to the board, a board member suggested that the best candidate for the position might just be Craig.
Further discussion among the board ensued (in Craig’s absence) culminating in unanimous support for the idea. We offered Craig the position and, after much consideration, he accepted.
For those who don’t know, Craig is founder and editor of The Objective Standard (TOS) and author of many articles and books on Objectivism and its applications. He is also a teacher, a public speaker, and a model of benevolence and grace.
Craig and his team at TOS have produced a top-notch journal for 14 years. During the past two years, they have produced highly successful, life-enhancing conferences on philosophy for freedom and flourishing as well. Craig has directed and managed it all.
As Executive Director of Prometheus, Craig will oversee considerable financial resources and actively seek to fund worthy intellectuals and substantive projects that promote Ayn Rand and advance Objectivism.
Prometheus Foundation (including its earlier iterations such as the Objectivist Venture Fund) has already contributed more than $40 million to the advancement of Objectivism. With Craig’s leadership, the Foundation’s future will be bigger than its past.
Congratulations, Craig. And thank you for accepting this vital position. I look forward to the accelerated advancement of Ayn Rand’s works and Objectivism with Prometheus under your stewardship.
